Abstract ] Objective TostudytheexpressionofmiR-221inbiopsytissueofthyroiddisease
andperipheralblood.Methods Specimenswereobtainedbyultrasoundguidedcore-needlein51
casesofpatientsdiagnosedwiththyroidnodules.Peripheralbloodsampleswerecollectedbefore
operation.QuantitativePCRmethodwasusedtodetecttheexpressionofmiR-221levelsintissue
andplasma.Results ThedifferenceoftheexpressionofmiR-221inbenignlesionsandnormal
tissuewasnotstatisticallysignificant ( P >0.05 ) .Inthyroidcancercases , miR-221expression
levelincanceroustissueweresignificantlyhigherthanthatinnormaltissueadjacenttothyroid
leisions ( P <0.05 ) .ThereweresignificantdifferencesintheexpressionofmiR-221indifferent
pathologicalstagesofthyroidcarcinomaandinlymphnodemetastasis ( P <0.05 ) .Thelevelof
miR-221inperipheralbloodofpatientswiththyroidcancerwassignificantlyhigherthanthatin
healthycontrolgroupandinbenignthyroiddiseasegroup ( P <0.05 ) .Conclusion Thehigh
expressionofmiR-221iscloselyrelatedtotheprogressionofthyroidcarcinoma.
