Effects of Celecoxib on the structure and function of rat ventricular and on TXA2 and PGI2 in rats with myocardial hypertrophy

Abstract ] Objective ToinvestigatetheeffectofCelecoxibonthefunctionandstructureof
theventricular , andonthecontentofprostaglandinI 2 ( PGI 2 ) andthromboxane 2 ( TXA 2 ) in
modelsofratswithpressure-overload myocardialhypertrophy.Methods Female Wisterrats
wererandomlydividedintoshamoperationgroup , modelgroup , Celecoxib2weeksgroupand
Celecoxib4weeksgroup.Echocardiographicmeasurementswereusedtomeasurecardiacfunction
indexes.Leftventricletissuesectionswereviewedbylightmicroscope.LVMIwasmeasuredand
contentofPGI 2 , TXA 2 weremeasuredbyELISAassayinplasmaandmyocardialtissue.Results
In modelgroup , Celecoxib2weeksgroupandCelecoxib4weeksgroup , Tieindexeswere
higherthanthatinthethesham group.InCelecoxib4weeksgroupand2weeksgroup , Tie
indexeswaslowerthanthatinthemodelgroup ( P <0.05 ) .In modelgroupandCelecoxib2
weeksgroup , IVRT washighercomparedwiththesham group.IVRTofCelecoxib4 weeks groupwaslowerthanthatinthemodelgroupandCelecoxib2weeksgroup ( P <0.05 ) .Inmodel
group , Celecoxib2weeksgroupandCelecoxib4weeksgroup , EF , FSwerelowerthanthatin
shamgroup , COwashigherthanthatinshamgroup (
P <0.05 ) .ThecontentofplasmaPGIin
Celecoxib4 weeksgroup washigherthanthatinthesham groupand modelgroup.PGI 2 in

weeksgroup ( P <0.05 ) .TherewasnosignificantdifferenceinthecontentofTXA
2 inplasmaand
cardiactissuebetweenthe2groups ( P >0.05 ) .Conclusion Attheearlystageofcardiac
hypertrophy , ventricularfunctionandstructureweresignificantlychanged.Withtheextensionof
time , ventricularsystolicfunctionalsoappearedobstacles.PGI 2 inplasmaandmyocardialtissue
ofcardiachypertrophyratwaschanged.Celecoxibcanalleviatecardiachypertrophy.However ,
long-termusemayhaveasideeffect.
