Abstract: [Abstract]  Objective〖HTSS〗〓To observe the efficacy and safety of initiating insulin therapy with insulin detemir in type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Methods〖HTSS〗〓Sixtyeight subjects with T2DM were randomly divided into two groups. Fasting blood glucose, postprandial 2 h blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, fasting C peptide, postprandial 2 h C peptide, daily insulin dosage, body mass index, and hypoglycemic events were compared between the 2 groups before and after treatment.
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Results〖HTSS〗〓After treatment, fasting blood glucose, postprandial 2 h blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin levels of the 2 groups were significantly lower than those before treatment. The level of 2 h C peptide in the treatment group was significantly higher than that before the treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P<005). After treatment, the incidence of hypoglycemia in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group, and the body mass index of the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<005). Fasting blood glucose, postprandial 2 h blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, fasting C peptide, postprandial 2 h C peptide level and daily insulin dosage at the end of the 2 groups were not statistically significant(P>005).
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Conclusion〖HTSS〗〓Insulin detemir combined with acarbose hypoglycemic will not increase the body weight and the incidence of hypoglycemia, and can promote the repair of islet function.
