Abstract: [Abstract] Objective〖HTSS〗〓To evaluate the effects of using a available boneretinaculumbone autograft(BRB) in the treatment of chronic scapholunate instability.
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Methods〖HTSS〗〓A total of 42 patients with chronic scapholunate instability were randomly divided into two groups, 21 patients were performed with the BRB, and 21 patients were performed with the Blatt capsulodesis(BC). All patients were followed up for 14 to 43 months. The Xray films were taken before and after the treatment, and the questionnaire was filled in.
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Results〖HTSS〗〓There were significant improvements in scapholunate angle and scapholunate gap at final followup examination  both in BRB and BC(P<005). After the operation, the BRB group was significantly lower than that of the BC group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<005). The Mayo score in BRB group was significantly higher than that in BC group(P<005). There were significant loss of range of motion and grip strength in BRB group after operation, but more in BC group(P<005). The range of motion and grip strength in  BRB group was significantly higher than that in BC group, the difference was statistically significant(P<005).
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Conclusion〖HTSS〗〓The BRB procedure is a reasonable option for treating chronic scapholunate instability.
