Abstract: [
Abstract ] Objective Tostudytheexpressionsandclinicopathologicalrelationshipofvascular
endothelialgrowthfactor ( VEGF ), hypoxiainduciblefactor-1α ( HIF-1α ) andcyclooxygenase-2 ( COX-
2 ) intissuesofnon-small-celllungcancer ( NSCLC ) .Methods Eighty-ninesamplesofnon-small-
celllungcancerand17casesofnormallungtissue wereinvolvedinthisstudy , andthe
expressionsofVEGF , HIF-1αandCOX-2 weredetectedusingimmunohistochemistry ( IHC ) .
Results ThepositiveratesofVEGF , HIF-1αandCOX-2expressionswere71.9% , 47.2% ,
57.3% in NSCLC , whichissignificantlyhigherthanthoseinthecontrolgrouprespectively
(
29.4% , P =0.001 ; 17.6% , P =0.024 ; 23.5% , P =0.011 ) .Notably , theexpressionsof
VEGF , HIF-1αandCOX-2 werehigherincaseswithlymphatic metastasisthaninnegative
lymphaticmetastasis ( P <0.05 ) .Moreover , thesamplesatⅢ +Ⅳ stageshowedsignificantly
higherexpressionsofVEGFandHIF-1αthanthatatⅠ+Ⅱ stage ( P <0.05 ) .Conclusion The
expressionsofVEGF , HIF-1αandCOX-2 werehigherin NSCLC , indicatingthatthethree
antigensplayedimportantrolesinNSCLCdevelopment.
