Bilateral standard large trauma craniotomy combined with mild hypothermia hibernation therapy for acute traumatic brain swelling

Abstract ] Objective Toinvestigatetheeffectofbilateralstandardlargetraumacraniotomy
combinedwithmildhypothermiahibernationtherapyinthetreatmentofacutetraumaticbrain
swelling.Methods Onehundred-twelvecasesofpatientswithacutetraumaticbrainswelling
werechosentobeobservedandrecordedtheprognosis.Amongthem , 68casesasexperimental
groupweretookbilateralstandardlargetraumacraniectomycoupled with mildhypothermia
therapy , 44casesascontrolgroupweretreatedwithconventionaldecompressivecraniectomyand
routinetreatment.Results Theclinicalefficacyoftheexperimentalgroup wassignificantly
betterthanthatofthecontrolgroup , thedifferencewasstatisticallysignificant ( Uc =3.839 , P =
0.001 ) .Theeffectiverateoftheexperimentalgroupwas ( 67.6% ), significantlyhigherthanthat
ofthecontrolgroup ( 27.3% ), thedifferencewasstatisticallysignificant

Theeffectsofbilateralstandardtraumalargeboneflapdecompressioncombined with mild
hypothermiahibernationtherapyforacutetraumaticbrainswellingwassignificant , theprognosis
isbetterthanconventionaltreatment
