Abstract: [Abstract]  Objective〖HTSS〗〓To study the feasibility and validity of pulsed dye laser(PDL) for treating infantile hemangionma(IH) in neonates.
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Methods〖HTSS〗〓All patients were diagnosed as infantile hemangionmas and were divided to neonate group(younger than 28days, 93 patients) and nonneonate group(older than 28 days, 1 788 patients). Their clinical data were collected, and the treatment outcomes and PDL parameters in neonates and nonneonates were analyzed.
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Results〖HTSS〗〓The neonates group shows a better therapy result than nonneonatal group(P<005). Laser energy used per treatment session was signifcantly lower in neonatal group than in nonneonatal group(P<005). Total laser energy used in neonates was also markedly lower than the control group(P<005). However, treatment session numbers in these two groups were no significant difference(P<005).
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Conclusion〖HTSS〗〓PDL, with distinct parameters, is a safe, feasible and effective treatment method for the therapy of IH in neonates. After each laser treatment, neonates has a better treatment result and recovered faster than nonneonatal patients.
