Abstract: [Abstract] Objective〖HTSS〗〓To investigate the alteration of serum levels of thrombopoietin(TPO) and angiogenin(ANG) in chronic mild stress(CMS)induced depressed mice.
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Methods〖HTSS〗〓CMS procedure was provided in the present study. After depressivelike behavioral tests, serum samples of mice were collected and serum levels of interleukin6(IL6), tumor necrosis factorα(TNFα), TPO and ANG of mice were detected by enzymelinked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Results〖HTSS〗〓CMS exposed mice exerted significantly depressivelike behaviors, reflected by prolonged floating time(P<005) without significant effect on latency to floating(P>005) in the forced swimming test, decreased sucrose preference(P<005) without significant effect on total intake of sucrose(P>005) in the sucrose preference test. Results from ELISA showed that CMS induced increased serum concentration of IL6, TNFα, TPO and ANG(all P<005).
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Conclusion〖HTSS〗〓CMS exposure could induce significant alteration of serum levels of TPO and ANG, suggesting that the vascular dysfunction and thrombocytopoiesis may be associated with the pathology of CMSinduced depression.
