Effect of curcumin on the expression of integrin β3 and LIF in endometrium of diabetic rats#br#

Abstract: [Abstract] Objective〖HTSS〗〓To investigate the effect of curcumin on the expression of integrin β3 and leukemia inhibitory factor(LIF) in endometrium of diabetic rats.
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Methods〖HTSS〗〓Thirty female SpragueDawley rats were divided into  control group,Diabetes model group and curcumin compound group randomly. The normal 〖JP2〗controls and diabetes model group served with edible corn oil 2.5 mL/kg for 10 weeks, while the curcumin compound group were treated with 250 mg·〖JP〗kg-1·d-1 curcumin compound suspension for the same time. After 10 weeks, the ratio of male to female was 3〖DK〗∶2 for mating. The vagina of the female was checked next day. The fetus was found to be the first day of pregnancy and were sacrificed in the fourth day. Blood glucose and insulin were measured separately. The morphology of endometrial epithelium were observed by HE staining and immunohistochemistry. Western blot analysis were used to analyze the changing of the endometrial integrin β3 and LIF after treatment with curcumin for 10 weeks.
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Results〖HTSS〗〓Compared with the normal group, the blood glucose and insulin were significantly increased in the diabetic group(P<005), and the expression of integrin β3 and LIF in the endometrium were significantly decreased(P<005). Compared with the diabetes group, the blood glucose and insulin were significantly lower(P<005), and the expression of integrin β3 and LIF in the endometrium were significantly increased(P<005) in the curcumin compound treatment group.
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Conclusion〖HTSS〗〓Curcumin can lower blood sugar and insulin, increase the expression of endometrial integrin β3 and LIF protein, and finally improve endometrial receptivity.
