Abstract: [Abstract] Objective〖HTSS〗To explore the value of combined application of S-Detect and elastography in the diagnosis of benign and malignant breast Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System 4(BI-RADS4) nodules.
Methods〖HTSS〗Two-dimensional ultrasound, elastic imaging and S-Detect were used to distinguish the benign and malignant lesions of 120 breast nodules in BI-RADS4 class in 110 female patients. The results of postoperative pathological diagnosis were used as the gold standard. The diagnostic efficiency of two-dimensional ultrasound alone combined with elastic imaging and the combination of S-Detect and elastic imaging were compared and analyzed.
Results〖HTSS〗The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of two-dimensional ultrasound combined with elastography were 73.68%, 82.92% and 80.00%, respectively. At the same time, the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of S-Detect and elastography were 86.84%, 87.80% and 86.66%, respectively. The area under of ROC curve of two-dimensional ultrasound combined with elastic imaging and S-Detect combined with elastic imaging in the diagnosis of benign and malignant breast BI-RADS4 nodules were 0.746 and 0.942, respectively. The diagnostic efficiency of two-dimensional ultrasound combined with S-Detect and elastic imaging was better than that of elastic imaging alone(P<0.05).
Conclusion〖HTSS〗S-Detect combined with elastography can be used as a new supplementary diagnostic method of two-dimensional ultrasound in the diagnosis of breast nodules. The assistant two-dimensional ultrasound diagnosis can significantly improve the effectiveness of differential diagnosis of benign and malignant breast nodules in BI-RADS4.
