Clinical study on the correction of hyponatremia after knee joint replacement by the capsule of sugar and salt

Abstract ] Objective Toinvestigatetheclinicaleffectofthecapsuleofsugar-saltcapsules
onthecorrectionofhyponatremiaafterthekneejointreplacementinpatientswithnon-diabetes.
Methods Sixty non-diabeticcases with hyponatremiaafterkneearthroplasty weredivide
randomlyintotwogroups : observationgroup ( 30cases ) andcontrolgroup ( 30cases ) .The
patientsincontrolgroupweregivensaltcapsulesorallyandthepatientsinobservationgroup
weregivensugar-saltcapsulesorally.Results Thebloodsodiumconcentrationinthe2groups
weregraduallyrecoveredtothepreoperativelevel.Thebloodsodium concentrationinthe
observationgroupwasincreasedearlierthanthatinthecontrolgroup.Thereweresignificant
differencesintheinteractionbetweengroupandtimebetweengroups ( P <0.05 ) .Theincidence
ofnauseaandvomitinginobservationgroupwaslowerthanthatincontrolgroup.Thedifference
wasstatisticallysignificant ( P <0.05 ) .Therewasnosignificantdifferenceintheincidenceof
abdominaldistensionbetweenthecontrolgroupandthecontrolgroup ( P >0.05 ) .Conclusion
Thetherapeutic effects ofthe sugar-saltcapsules on correcting hyponatremia after knee
arthroplastyfornon-diabeticswereobviouslysuperiorthanthatofthesaltcapsule , andwere
fewerside-effectsthanthatofsaltcapsules.
