Evaluation of nursing intervention on VAS pain score and Oswestry disability index in postoperative brucellosis spondylitis patients

Abstract ] Objective ToevaluatethenursingcareonVisualAnalogueScale ( VAS ) pain
scoreand Oswestrydisabilityindex ofpostoperativebrucellosisspondylitispatientsandto
improveclinicaloutcome.Methods Thirty-ninecases who underwenta debridementand
posteriorpediclescrewfixationsurgery weredividedintotwogroups.Onegroupisroutine
nursinggroup ( groupA , 19cases ) whichwereusedascontrolgroup ,
theothergroupisnursing
careinterventiongroup ( groupB , 20cases ) inwhichapreemptiveanalgesiacareplans
, nursing
education , medicationcomplianceandhealtheducationclinicalpathwaywerecarriedout.We
comparedthepostoperativeVASscoreandOswestryDisabilityIndexbetweenthetwogroups.
Allthecaseswerefollowedupat1 , 3and6monthaftertheoperation.Results Thetwogroups
werecomparablebeforeoperation.TherewasasignificantdifferencebetweenthegroupBandthe
groupAintheVASscore , themedicationcomplianceandtheOswestryDisabilityIndexatthe
sametimepointafterthesurgery ( P <0.05 ) .CasesingroupBweresignificantlybetterthanin groupA , especiallyintheearlytimeaftertheoperation (
P <0.05 ) .Conclusion Implementation
ofthenursingcareinterventionscanimprove VASscoresand Oswestry DisabilityIndexin
brucellosisspondylitispatients , andithassignificanteffectontherehabilitationandimprovement
ofclinicalcurativeeffectafteroperation.
