Abstract: [Abstract] Objective〖HTSS〗〓To investigate the expression of HIF1α and Vimentin in nonsmall cell lung cancer(NSCLC) and its relationship with clinicopathological features.
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Methods〖HTSS〗〓The expression of HIF1α and Vimentin in nonsmall cell lung cancer tissues and paracancerous tissues was detected by immunohistochemical streptavidinperoxidaselinked method to analyze the relationship between clinical and pathological features.
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Results〖HTSS〗〓The positive rates of HIF1α and Vimentin in nonsmall cell lung cancer were 80.0%(48/60) and 66.7%(40/60), respectively, which were significantly higher than those in paracancerous tissues 5.0%(1/20) and 10.0%(2/20) , the difference was statistically significant(P<005). The expression of HIF1α was significantly higher in NSCLC tissues with low undifferentiated and high TNM stages(P<005). The expression of Vimentin was significantly higher in NSCLC tissues with high TNM staging and lymph node metastasis(P<005). There was a positive correlation between the expression of HIF1α and Vimentin in NSCLC tissues(rs=0354, P=0.006).
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Conclusion〖HTSS〗〓The overexpression of HIF1α and Vimentin is closely related to the progression of nonsmall cell lung cancer. The combined detection of HIF1α and Vimentin can be used as a prognostic indicator of nonsmall cell lung cancer.
