Abstract: ［Abstract］ Objective〖HTSS〗〓To compare the examination consistency of velopharyngeal function using speech assessment, cephalograms and nasopharyngeal fibroscope (NPF) after cleft palate operation.
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Methods〖HTSS〗〓The velopharyngeal closure of 30 patients with cleft palate after palatoplasty was detected and compared by three methods: speech intelligibility test, lateral cranial Xray and NPF.
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Results〖HTSS〗〓The χ2 test was used to compare the results of the three methods.There was no statistically significant difference between cephalograms and speech assessment(P＞005). There was no statistically significant difference between  cephalograms and NPF(P＞005). There was no statistically significant difference between speech assessment and NPF(P＞005). All examination results were moderately consistent.
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Conclusion〖HTSS〗〓The results were consistent of velopharyngeal functionalexamination using speech assessment, cephalograms and NPF.
