Abstract ] Objective Toobservetheclinicalefficacyofflupenthixolmelitracencombined
with Weichang'aninthetreatmentdiarrhea-predominantirritablebowelsyndrome ( IBS-D ) .
Methods Atotalof77IBS-Dpatientswasdividedrandomlyintocontrolgroupandexperimented
group.Thepatientsofcontrolgroupweretreatedwith Weichang'anPill0.8gthreetimesper
day.Onthebasisofthetreatmentofcontrolgroup , thepatientsofexperimentalgroupwere
givenflupenthixolmelitracen10.5 mgafterbreakfastandlunchperday.Thepatientswere
evaluatedbythe Hamilton AnxietyScale ( HAMA ), Hamilton Depression Scale ( HAMD ),
abdominalpainanddiarrheasymptomscoreswhenenrolledandwerefollowedupatthefourth
week.Theadverseeffects wereobservedandrecorded.Results Beforethetreatment , the
subjectsinthe2groupswerematchableintheirdepressionandanxietyratios , andtherewereno
statisticaldifferencebetweenthetwogroupsinHAMA , HAMDandabdominalpainanddiarrhea symptomscores ( all P >0.05 ) .Afterfourweekoftreatment , theefficacyrateofabdominalpain ,
diarrheaandtotaleffectiveratesoftreatmentgroupwerehigherthanthoseofcontrolgroup.The
differenceswerestatisticallysignificant ( P <0.05 ) .Thescoresof HAMA and HAMD of
experimentalgroupweresignificantlylowerthanthoseofcontrolgroup ( P <0.05 ) .Conclusion
Flupenthixol melitracen combined with Chinese medicine Weichang'an Pill demonstrates
significantefficacyintheimprovementofdepression , anxietyandmainsympto
