Abstract: [Abstract]]〓Objective〖HTSS〗〓To analyze MRI features and ADC values of cortical tubes in patients with tuberous sclerosis complex(TSC).
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Methods〖HTSS〗〓The MR images of 21 patients with TSC were reviewded retrospectively, typical and cystlike cortical tubers types were identified based on the MRI signal intensity of cortical tube, all patients were divided into two groups corresponding to the tube type. The cortical tube counts were recorded.ADC values of cortical tube were measured.
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Results〖HTSS〗〓Of 21 patients with TSC, the group of typical cortical tuber was 9 cases, another group was 12 cases. Subependymal nodule appears as isointensity or hyperintensity on T1weighted images and hypointensity on T2weighted images. Mean cortical tuber count in cystlike cortical tuber group was more than the count in typical cortical tuber group(P<005). There was no significant difference in the average number of subependymal nodules between the 2 groups(P>005). Mean ADC value of cystlike cortical tuber group was higher than the value of typical cortical tuber group(P<005).
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Conclusion〖HTSS〗〓Typical cortical tubers and cystlike cortical tubers were identified, mean tuber count in cystlike cortical group was more than that in typical cortical tubers group, ADC values of cystlike cortical tuber was higher than that in typical cortical tuber.
