Abstract: [Abstract] Objective〖HTSS〗〓To compare the time and effect of the 2 methods by using 2 methods to establish proliferative vitreoretinopathy(PVR) model in rabbit eye. 〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Methods〖HTSS〗〓The experimental group was given intravitreal injection of a mixture of retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) cells and interleukin1(IL1) beta or simple RPE cells respectively. The control group was given intravitreal injection of normal saline, and vitreous, fundus and B ultrasonic examination were performed after operation. The degree of vitreous opacity and the degree of PVR were graded, and the incidence of retinal detachment was calculated. 〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Results〖HTSS〗〓After 7 days of vitreous injection, occurrences of PVR were 100% in both of the two groups. PVR happened more earlier and faster in Group Ⅰ than Group Ⅱ. Group Ⅰ also had the higher incidence of retinal detachment. 〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Conclusion〖HTSS〗〓Injective vitreous of RPE cells combined with IL1β in rabbit eyes is the best method to establish of PVR model, and is more in line with the pathological process of PVR.
