Abstract: [Abstract] Objective〖HTSS〗〓To compare the time and effect of the 2 methods by using 2 methods to establish proliferative vitreoretinopathy(PVR) model in rabbit eye.
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Methods〖HTSS〗〓The experimental group was given intravitreal injection of a mixture of retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) cells and interleukin1(IL1) beta or simple RPE cells respectively. The control group was given intravitreal injection of normal saline, and vitreous, fundus and B ultrasonic examination were performed after operation. The degree of vitreous opacity and the degree of PVR were graded, and the incidence of retinal detachment was calculated.
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Results〖HTSS〗〓After 7 days of vitreous injection, occurrences of PVR were 100% in both of the two groups. PVR happened more earlier and faster in Group Ⅰ than Group Ⅱ. Group Ⅰ also had the higher incidence of retinal detachment.
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Conclusion〖HTSS〗〓Injective vitreous of RPE cells combined with IL1β in rabbit eyes is the best method to establish of PVR model, and is more in line with the pathological process of PVR.
