Abstract: [Abstract] Objective〖HTSS〗〓To investigate the clinical effects of pedicle screw and lateral mass screw fixation combined with laminoplasty to treat cervical spondylotic myelopathy(CSM) with kyphosis.
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Methods〖HTSS〗〓A total of 33 cases of CSM patients with poor curvature accepted the procedure of pedicle screw and lateral mass screw fixation combined with laminoplasty were 〖JP2〗selected. The postoperative neurological recovery, cervical curvature index(CCI) and complications〖JP〗 were recorded and analyzed.
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Results〖HTSS〗〓No spinal cord and nerves injury occurred during the operation. The JOA score, neurological function improvement and CCI were significant increased after the surgery, the difference was statistically significant, but the postoperative 3 months and the last followup difference was not statistically significant(P<005). However, there was no significant difference between the time point of 3 months after surgery and the final followup. There were 13 cases in excellent, 16 cases in good, 2 cases in common and 2 cases in poor based on axial symptoms evaluation criteria. The AS rate was 12.1% .
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Conclusion〖HTSS〗〓Posterior pedicle screw and lateral mass screw fixation combined with laminoplasty could correct the patient's cervical curvature effectively. Moreover, it could significantly promote the neurological function and reduce the axial symptoms occurring.
