Abstract: Objective To compare and evaluate the diagnostic value of cervical lesion screening by two methods used in the clinical application. Methods Analysis was performed on the results of 1 350 cases of gynecological patients who were examined by two methods at the same time:line production technology smear layer type liquid thin cells and traditional pap smear method for uterine cervical cytology. Results The rate of positive cases based on the cervical liquid-based cytology was higher than that of conventional pap smear method. The difference was statistically significant(χ2 =64. 299,P ﹤0. 01). Conclusion Compared to the conventional papanicolaou smear method, cervical liquid-based cytology method has more sensitivity and accuracy, improves the detection rate and reduces false detection rate, which is a more efficient way to diagnose cervical carcinoma and precancerous lesion.
