Abstract: Objective To study effects of compound Huangbai solution (CHS) on the skin bacterial infection in rabbits and nonspecific immunity in mice.Methods Effects of topical application of CHS on the redness, swelling, secretory substance and necrotic tissue of the skin wound in rabbit backs were observed,and auricular swelling induced by dimethylbenzene and carbon clearance method were used to observe the therapeutic effects of CHS in mice.Results CHS 20 % and 10 % solution accelerated healing of wound and reduced swelling area on the 4th and 7th day respectively. CHS subcutaneous injection at 3 g/(kg.d) inhibited auricular inflammation induced by dimethylbenzine in mice (P<0.05); and CHS subcutaneous injection at 3 g/(kg.d) for 10 days enhanced the phagocytic function of phagocytes(P<0.05).Conclusion CHS increased ability of rabbits against infection and augmented nonspecific immunity in mice.
