Objective　To determine the prevalence and potential clinical value of mdm2 amplification in cardia gastric carcinoma.Methods　Mdm2 amplification was examined by differential polymerase chain reaction (dPCR).Results　Mdm2 amplification was found in 7 of 38 cases (18.2%). Otherwise, the positive rate of mdm2 gene amplification in higher grade group was higher than that in the lower grade group (33.3% vs 5%), and the difference was significant (P<0.05). There was no correlation observed between the alteration and other clinicopathological parameters, such as sex, age, histological subtype, lymph node metastasis,et al. Conclusion　The data suggest that mdm2 amplification might play an important role in cardia gastric carcinoma. It maybe a mechanism for cells to escape from the regulatory pathway of p53. The detection of the alteration may be helpful to assess the prognosis of cardia gastric carcinoma.

Objective　To explore the possibility for the induction of pneumocystis carinii pneumonia(PCP) in rats by dexamethasone.Methods　Forty female SD rats were randomly divided into experimental group（n=20）and control group（n=20）.Experimental group was injected subcutaneously with dexamethasone twice a week and control group was not processed.The pathogen and condition of infection were examined at 3 weeks interval. Results　Experimental group appeared clinical syndromes.The peumocystis carinii cysts and trophozoites had been found in the lung imprints and precipitate of bronchoalveolar lavage fluid since the 6th week,while no peumocystis carinii cysts and trophozoites could be found in the lung imprints and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid of control group.Conclusion　PCP rat model was successfully established by inducement of dexamethasone.

Objective　To evaluate the changes and clinical implication of cell immune function in gastric cancer patients before and after operation.Methods　T lymphocyte subsets and natural killer(NK) cell activity of 56 cases of gastric cancer and 38 cases of normal subjects were measured by monoclonal anti-human T lymphocyte antibody and MTT-assay before and after operation.Results　It was found that CD+3、CD+4、 ratio of CD+4/CD+8 and NK cell activity were significantly lower, but CD+8 cell was higher in preoperative gastric cancer patients than those of the control group (P<0.01). The cell immune function gradually recovered 20 days after operation. There was significant difference before and after operation (P<0.05). No significant differences CD+3、CD+4、ratio of CD+4/CD+8 and NK cell activity were found between Borrmann Ⅰ、Ⅱ and Ⅲ、Ⅳ,lympy nodal metastasis positive and negative gastric cancer patients.Conclusion　Cell immune function in patients with gastric cancer was relates to tumor progress and T lymphocyte subsets and NK cell activity could be used as important monitoring indicators.

Objective　To study effects of compound Huangbai solution (CHS) on the skin bacterial infection in rabbits and nonspecific immunity in mice.Methods　Effects of topical application of CHS on the redness, swelling, secretory substance and necrotic tissue of the skin wound in rabbit backs were observed,and auricular swelling induced by dimethylbenzene and carbon clearance method were used to observe the therapeutic effects of CHS in mice.Results　CHS 20 % and 10 % solution accelerated healing of wound and reduced swelling area on the 4th and 7th day respectively. CHS subcutaneous injection at 3 g/(kg.d) inhibited auricular inflammation induced by dimethylbenzine in mice (P<0.05); and CHS subcutaneous injection at 3 g/(kg.d) for 10 days enhanced the phagocytic function of phagocytes(P<0.05).Conclusion　CHS increased ability of rabbits against infection and augmented nonspecific immunity in mice.

Objective　To explore the right-to-left transpulmonary shunt flow in thoracic surgery.Methods　The oxygen tensions of alveolar gas and arterial blood were measured with blood gas analysis settings in 26 patients scheduled for thoracic surgery during the procedure. The alveolar-arterial oxygen tension difference (A-aDO2) and right-to-left shunt fraction (Qs/Qt) was calculated before and 10 min after lateral decubitus positioning, 15 min and 60 min after thoracotomy.Results　There were no significant changes in A-aDO2 and Qs/Qt after the patients were positioned from supine to lateral decubitus. Both A-aDO2 and Qs/Qt increased after the chest was opened, which could be aggregated as the procedure prolonged. The Qs/Qt reached (12.16±5.57) % at 60 min of thoracotomy. However, no hypoxemia occurred during the operation.Conclusion　Shunt fraction of transpulmonary flow was significantly increased by thoracotomy and deteriorated as the open chest prolonged.

Objective　Meta-analysis method was used to analyze survival rates hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC）of patients treated with operation and transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TAC) reported in different periodicals to evaluate quantitativelly the two treatment procedures.Methods　The Meta-analysis was done as follows: collection of relative literatures,literatures selection according to our criterion, abstraction of analysis items from the selected reports, and selection of statistical methods.Results　The results showed that the 95 % confidence interval of integrated RD of survival rated for 1 or 3 years on the treatment effect between operation and TAC are -0.0841～0.1177 and -0.1380～0.0672 respectively,all of which included zero.Conclusion　There was no difference in the survival rates between HCC patients treated with operation and TAC.

Objective　To separate and determine agrimophol in agrimonia pilosa ledeb.Methods　Agrimophol was determined by high performance liquid chormatography with a column of Kmmasil ODS (5 μm, 15 cm×4.6 mm i.d.). The mobile phase was MeOH∶H2O (75∶25),λ=292 nm.Results　The average recovery and RDS of agrimophol was 97.15 % and 0.96 % (n=6).Conclusion　This method could be used for determination of agrimophol in agrimonia pilosa ledeb effectively.

Objective　The dissolution of roxithromycin capsules manufactured by four different factories was tested.Methods　The dissolution of roxithromycin capsules was analyzed with spectrophotometry. The dissolutive parameters of different products were compared.Results　Significant differences in dissolutive parameters among the four products from different factories could be found.Conclusion　The dissolubility of products should be tested to control the quality and ensure clinical efficacy.
