Abstract ] Objective Toexploretheeffectsofalphamusiconanxietyanddepression , as
wellascognitiondysfunctionforpatientswithcognitivedeficitfollowingstroke.Methods Sixty
patientsfollowingstrokewithcognitiveimpairmentwererandomlydividedintotwogroupsby
admissionorder : experimentalgroup ( 30cases ) andcontrolgroup ( 30cases ) .Allpatientsreceived
routinerehabilitationtherapyandnootropicdrugs.Patientsinexperimentalgroupreceivedalpha
musicforfourweeks.Singleblindassessmentwasdoneusingthe HAMA14 , HAMD24and
MoCAbeforetreatmentand4 weeksaftertreatment.Results Beforetheintervention , the
anxietyanddepressionintwogroupswasnotsignificantlydifferent.However , theanxietyand
depressioninpatientsafterinterventionwerelowerthanthosebeforetheinterventionorthosein groupswerenotsignificantlydifferent.Inobservationgroup , aftertheintervention , theMoCA
totalscore , memory , attentionabilitywerehigherthanthosebeforetheintervention , orthosein
controlgroup ( P <0.05or<0.01 ) .Conclusion Alphamusiccanimproveanxiety
, depression , as
wellascognition , especiallythememoryandattentionabilityinpatientswithcognitivedeficit
followingstroke.
