The prevalence rate of hyperuricemia and the distribution of different gender and age of the adult physical examination population over 18 years old in Shijiazhuang city

Abstract ] Objective Toinvestigatetheprevalenceofhyperuricemia ( HUA ) andits
relationship with genderand agein physicalexamination population over18 yearsoldin
Shijiazhuangcity , Hebeiprovince.Methods Totalof4927 patients wererecruited
, the
prevalencerateofHUAandtheuricacidlevelofdifferentgroupsaccordingtoageorgenderwere
compared.Results TheprevalencerateofHUAin malephysicalexaminationpopulationwas
higherthanthatoffemale.Theratewasstatisticallydifferentamongdifferentagegroupsandthe
incidenceratewashigherinmalethanthatinfemale ( groupsof18-29 , 30-39 , 40-49years
old )( P <0.05 ) buttheratebecamesimilarafter50years ( groupsof50-59 , 60-69 , ≥70 )( P >
0.05 ) .TheincidencerateofHUAwasdecreasedwiththeincreasingofageinmale , butincreased
significantlyinfemales ( P <0.05 ), andtheincidenceratewasbasicallyconsistentinallgroups
over50years.Theuricacidlevelofthemalewashigherthanthatinfemaleinthesameagegroup (
P <0.05 ) .Conclusion Theuricacidlevelofthemalewashigherthanthatinfemaleinadults
over18yearsofphysicalexaminationpopulationinShijiazhuangarea.Thereweredifferencesin
incidenceamongdifferentagegroups.
