Abstract: objective: to study the internal carotid artery (ICA) severe stenosis or occlusion in patients with open collateral circulation situation and the relationship between the cerebral infarction. Methods: retrospective analysis of our hospital in August 2014 to August 2015 were analyzed in 80 cases of patients with clinical data, according to whether the patients have symptoms were divided into observation group (asymptomatic, 52 cases) and control group (symptomatic, 28 cases), for patients with doppler ultrasound examination, understand the development of collateral circulation in patients with type, the average speed of cerebral artery blood flow (MVMCA), etc., in-depth analysis of types of collateral circulation and its clinical relevance. Results: observation group and control group in patients with intracranial collateral circulation open rate exists obvious difference, and the observation group before the traffic artery, ophthalmic artery collateral open rate is significantly higher than the control group, the observation group of diseased side MVMCA level higher than the control group, the data contrast significant difference between groups (P < 0.05). Conclusion: patients with severe internal carotid artery stenosis or occlusion of its collateral development is closely linked with the clinical manifestations, collateral circulation developed by increase the degree of stenosis.
