Abstract: [Abstract] Objective〖HTSS〗〓To explore the correlation of serum levels of secreted frizzledrelated protein 5(sFRP5) and Nterminal Btype natriuretic peptide(NTProBNP) with chronic heart failure(CHF).
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Methods〖HTSS〗〓One hundred and three CHF patients with New York Heart Association(NYHA) grade Ⅱ-Ⅳ and 44 healthy controls treated were summarized. The sFRP5, NTProBNP, fasting blood glucose, total cholesterol, triacylglycerol, low density lipoprotein cholesterol were detected, the height, weight, body mass index, blood pressure were taken and left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) and left ventricular enddiastolic dimension(LVEDD) were measured by echocardiography.
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Results〖HTSS〗〓The levels of sFRP5 and NTproBNP were significantly increased compared with the control group, the levels of sFRP5, NTproBNP and LVEDD were gradually increased whereas the LVEF was decreased with NYHA classification(P<0.05). sFRP5 and NTproBNP levels were positively correlated with NYHA grade and LVEDD respectively, and negatively correlated with LVEF(P<0.05).
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Conclusion〖HTSS〗〓sFRP5 and NTproBNP are associated with the severity of cardiac function, and the combined application of them could be effective indexes for evaluating early diagnosis of chronic heart failure.
