Abstract: [ Abstract ] Objective Toobservetheeffectsofdifferentconcentrationsofadrenalinin perfusionsolutionon mydriasisandthecornealendothelium inphacoemulsificationcataract surgeryandtodiscussclinicalrationalconcentration.Methods Onehundredandfivesimple senilecataractpatients ( 120eyes ) weredividedrandomlyintoA , BandCgroups ( eachgroupwith 40patients ) .0.1 mL , 0.2 mLand0.5 mL1‰ adrenalin wereaddedinto500 mLperfusion solution.Phacoemulsificationandintraocularlensimplantationwereperformedinallpatients. Beforesurgeryand1weekaftersurgery , cornealendothelialdensity , thepercentageofhexagonal cellsand variablecoefficient were detected by cornealendothelialcellinstrument without touching.Results Thepupildiametersinthe3groupsduringoperationwereallgreaterthanor equaltothoseofpreoperation.Thedifferencesofthepreoperativecornealendothelialcell density , thepercentageofhexagonalandcellsvariablecoefficientamongthe3groupswerenot statisticallysignificant ( P >0.05 ) .Thepostoperativecelldensityandthepercentageofhexagonal cellswerelowerthanthosebeforeoperation.TherewassignificantdifferenceofgroupBand groupCcomparedtothatbeforeoperationrespectively ( P <0.05 ) andthedifferenceofgroupA wasnotstatisticallysignificant ( P >0.05 ) .Therewasnostatisticallysignificantdifferenceamong thethreegroups ( P >0.05 ) .Thevariablecoefficientwashigherthanthatbeforeoperationin groupC ( P <0.05 ) .Therewasnostatisticallysignificantdifferenceofvariablecoefficientin groupAandgroupBcomparedtothatbeforeoperation ( P >0.05 ) .Thevariablecoefficientof groupCwashigherthanthatofgroupA ( P <0.05 ) .Conclusion Theeffectiveandthelowest adrenalinconcentration ( 0.1mL1‰adrenalinin500mLperfusionsolution ) shouldbeappliedin phacoemulsificationinconsiderationofthepotentialadrenalintoxicity.
