Influence of phacoemulsificaiton with different incision on tear film of diabetic patients

Abstract: [ Abstract ] Objective Toinvestigatetheinfluenceofphacoemulsificaiton withtheclear
cornealincisionandthescelrotictunnelincisionontearfilm ofdiabeticpatients.Methods
Seventy-eightcataractpatients ( 90eyes ) withdiabetesweredividedintotwogroupsrandomly :
groupA ( 45eyes ) withclearcornealincisionphacoemulsificationandgroupB (
45eyes ) with
sclerotictunnelincision.Corneafluorescein ( CFS ), Schirmer Ⅰ test ( SⅠt ) andtearbreak-up
time ( BUT ) were observed at3 d preoperatively and 1 week , 1 month and 3 months
postoperativelytoevaluatethechangesoftearfilm.Results TheCFSscoresoftwogroupswere
obviouslyincreasedat1weekpostoperatively , andthengraduallydecreased.Theincreaseand
decreaseintheclearcornealincisiongroupwerelarger ( P <0.05 ) .TheSⅠtandBUToftwo
groupswerebothobviouslylowerat1weekpostoperativelythanpreoperatively ( P <0.05 ), and
thengraduallyincreased.Theincreaseanddecreaseintheclearcornealincisiongroupwerelarger
(
P <0.05 ) .TherewerenosignificantdifferenceofCFS , SⅠtandBUTbetweentwogroupsat3
monthspostoperatively ( P >0.05 ) .Conclusion Compared withclearcornealincision , the
