Abstract: Objective To explore the quantitative training with theory and practice in j unior nurses about insulin knowledge and inj ection skills.Methods The research was taken in 148 junior medical nurses who started work within two years,including the experimental group in which nurses were given the quantitative training combined theory and practice,and the control group in which 120 non-medical junior nurses accepted the routine training in hospital.Results After the training,two groups obviously improved on the aspects of basic knowledge of insulin, inj ection skill score,insulin theory examination scores,skills simulated evaluation,and practice in ward grade.But the medical nurses group were has increased much more than non-medical nurses, especially in matter of insulin basic knowledge and inj ection skill score.After the training,medical nurses group were obviously better than non-medical nurses group in all scores (P<0.01).The training was very efficient to avoiding the nursing risk of insulin.Conclusion The quantitative training combined theory and practice is obviously superior to the routine training.The method raised the insulin knowledge and satisfaction of diabetes inpatients,enhanced the professional image and value of nurses.
