Abstract: [ Abstract ] Objective To observe the effects of dexamethasone combined with dexmedetomidineoninterscalenebrachialplexusblock.Methods Sixtypatiensscheduledfor upperextremitysurgerywithinterscalenebrachialplexusblockwererandomlydividedintothree groups , with20casesineachgroup.Controlgroup ( groupC ) wasgiven0.5% ropivacaine25 mL ; Dexmedetomidinegroup ( groupD ) wasreceived0.5%ropivacaine+1 μ g / kgdexmedetomidine25 mL ; dexamethasonecombinedwithdexmedetomidinegroup ( groupDD ) wasinjectedwith0. 5% ropivacaine+1 μ g / kgdexmedetomidineanddexamethasone10 mg25 mL.Hearrate ( HR ), meanarterialpressure ( MAP ), oxygensaturation ( SpO 2 ) and OAA / Sscoreatthetimeof enteringtheoperatingroom ( T 0 ), beginningoftheoperation ( T 1 ), 30 minafterthestartof operation ( T 2 ), attheendofthesurgery ( T 3 ) wereobserved.Theonsettimeanddurationof sensoryand motorblock wererecorded.Theadverseeffectssuchasadversecardiovascular events , excessivesedation , nauseaandvomitingwerealsorecorded.Results Thedifferencein OAA / SscoreandHR , interblockandtimedissimilarityinthethreegroupsatthegroupsand timepointswerestatisticallysignificant ( P <0.05 ) .However , therewasnosignificantdifference intheinteractionbetweengroupandtime ( P >0.05 ) .InOAA / SscoreandHR , interblockand timedissimilarityofthethreegroupshadstatisticallysignificantdifference.There wasno significantdifferenceininteractionofinterblockwithtimedissimilaritybetweenthethreegroups. ForMAP , therewerestatisticallysignificantdifferencesintimedissimilarityamongthethree groups ( P <0.05 ) .Therewasnosignificantdifferenceininterblockandinteractionofinterblock withtimedissimilaritybetweenthethreegroups ( P >0.05 ) .ForSpO 2 , therewasnosignificant differenceamongthethreegroups ( P >0.05 ) .ComparedwithgroupC , theonsettimewas ( P > 0.05 ) .ComparedwithgroupC , theonsettimewassignificantlyshortened , andthedurationof blockwasprolonged ( P <0.05 ) ingroupDandgroupDD.ComparedwithgroupsD , theduration ofblockwasprolongedingroupsDD ( P <0.05 ) .Theincidenceofnauseaandvomitingingroup DDwassignificantlylowerthaningroupD.SomepatientsdevelopedbradycardiaingroupsDand DD.Conclusion Dexamethasonecombined withdexmedetomidinecanenhancetheanalgesic effectofropivacaine , shortentheonsettime , prolongtheactiontime , reducetheadverse reactions , butmayinducebradycardia
