Abstract: [Abstract] Objective〖HTSS〗〓To explore the mental health status, quality of life and also the correlation between them in patients with advanced tumors, and then to provide scientific basis for the early intervention.
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Methods〖HTSS〗〓We evaluate the mental health status and quality of life for 188 cases of patients with advanced tumors using the Symptom Check List90(SCL90) and the Quality of Life QuestionnaireCore 30(QLQC30), respectively; and then analyze the correlation of them.
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Results〖HTSS〗〓The scores of SCL90 are significantly higher than the national norms, and the QLQC30 results show that the overall quality of life of patients with advanced tumors is at a lower level with the pain symptom and somatic function most obviously. The coercion, anxiety, psychosis and overall mean score in SCL90 are significantly associated with somatic function, nausea and vomiting symptoms and overall quality of life in QLQC30.
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Conclusion〖HTSS〗〓The patients with advanced tumors generally have poor mental health status and quality of life, and the correlation between them is significant. Clinical medical workers should strengthen the psychological care, improve mental health status, and thereby enhance the quality of life of patients with advanced tumors.
