Abstract: [ Abstract ] Objective Toexploretheeffectofpulsedelectromagneticfieldsonrepairofulnar
nerveinpostoperationofmoderatetoseverecubitaltunnelsyndrom ( CUTS ) .Methods Atotal
of107patients with moderatetoseverecubitaltunnelsyndrom wererandomlydividedinto
minimally pulsed electromagnetic fields treatment group and control group. Then ,
electromyography , ulnarnervediameterandcurativeeffectindexweredetectedinpatientsoftwo
groupsbeforesurgeryandat2 , 4and12weeksaftersurgery.Thestatisticalanalysiswasmade.
Results Onehundredandsevenpatientswith moderatetosevereCUTSaftersurgery were
followed-upfor12 weeks.Nerveconductionvelocityintwogroups wasgraduallyelevated.
Latencyintwogroupswasgraduallydeclined.Amplitudeintwogroupswasgraduallyelevated.
Thefluctuationrangeintreatmentgroup wasfasterthanthatinthecontrolgroup.The
differencesbetweengroups , point-in-timeandinterceptwerestatisticallysignificant ( P <0.05 ) .
Theulnarnervelongdiameterofthelesionsbetweentwogroupshadnosignificantdifference.
Thedifferencesoftheulnarnervediameterbetweengroups , point-in-timeandinterceptwerenot
statisticallysignificant ( P >0.05 ) .Theclinicalefficacyofpulsedelectromagneticfieldstreatment
group was better than thatin the control group ( P < 0.05 ) .Conclusion The pulsed
electromagneticfieldscaneffectivelypromotetherepairofulnarnerveandthemusclegroupin
handinpostoperationofmoderatetoseverecubitaltunnelsyndrome.Thistechniquecanreduce
complicationsandimproveclinicalefficacy.
