Relationship between high expression of intercellular adhesion molecule-1 and early acute lung injury of rats with severe acute pancreatitis

Abstract ] Objective Toinvestigatetherelationship betweenthe high expression of
intercellularadhesionmolecule-1 ( ICAM-1 ) andearlyacutelunginjuryofratswithsevereacute
pancreatitis.Methods FortyhealthyadultmaleSDratsweredividedintotwogroupsaccording
toarandomnumbertable : studygroup ( n =30 ) andcontrolgroup ( n =10 ) .Thestudygroupof
ratweregiven0.1 mL / 100g4% sodiumtaurocholateuniformlyinjectedthroughbileduct ,
whilethecontrolgroupofratsweregiveninjectsalineuniformlyinjectedthroughbileduct , and
thenthebloodamylaseenzymesandbloodgaschanges , pulmonary watercontainingrate ,
myeloperoxidase ( MPO ) activity , lungandpancreatichistologicalscores , theexpressionof
ICAM-1inlungofthetwogroupsofratswereanalyzed.Results Incomparisonwithcontrol
groups , bloodamylase , partialpressureofcarbondioxideinarterialblood
( PaCO 2 ) levels ,
pulmonarywatercontainingrate , MPOactivity , lungandpancreatichistologicalscores , lung ICAM-1integratedopticaldensityvaluesinthestudygroupat3h , 6h , 12hweregradually
increased ( P <0.05 ), theoxygenationindex , PaO 2 levels weredecreased ( P <0.05 ); In
comparisonwithcontrolgroups , theserumamylase , PaCO 2 level , pulmonarywatercontaining
rate , MPOactivity , lungandpancreatichistologicalscoresandareaoflungICAM-1inthestudy
groupweresignificantlyhigherthanthatincontrolgroup ( P <0.01 ), However , theoxygenation
index , PaO 2 , integratedopticaldensityvaluesweresignificantlyreducedinstudygroup ( P <
0.01 ) .Conclusion HighexpressionofICAM-1caneasilyleadtoearlyacutelunginjuryofrats
withsevereacutepancreatitis.
