Abstract: ［Abstract］〓Objective〖HTSS〗〓To investigate the effects of simethicone administered at different time on bowel preparation before capsule endoscopy.
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Methods〖HTSS〗〓A total 180 patients undergoing capsule endoscopy were randomly divided into three groups and all patients used polyethylene glycol electrolyte solution for bowel preparation. Group A: the patients were administered with 30ml simethicone 2 h before capsule endoscopy; group B: the patients were administered with 30ml simethicone 1 h before capsule endoscopy; group C, the patients were administered with 30 ml simethicone 0.5 h before capsule endoscopy. The small intestinal preparation quality, the time for gastric transit time and small intestinal transit time, the completion rate of capsule endoscopy and the adverse reactions were observed and compared between three groups.
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Results〖HTSS〗〓The small intestinal preparation quality of group C is higher than group A and B(P＜005). There were no significant differences in the time for gastric and small intestinal transit time, the completion rate of capsule endoscopy and the adverse reactions among the three groups(P＞005).
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Conclusion〖HTSS〗〓Administration of 30 ml simethicone 0.5 h before capsule endoscopy could improve the small intestinal preparation quality and the quality of the small intestinal endoscopic view.
