Abstract: [ Abstract ] Objective Toinvestigatetheeffectofpain managementpathforpostherpetic neuralgia.Methods Nintypatientswithpostherpeticneuralgiaweredividedintotwogroups randomly : thecontrolgroupandtheexperimentalgroup with45casesineachgroup.The patientsinthecontrolgroup weretreatedwithconventionaltreatmentandnursingcare , the patientsintheexperimentalgroupweretreatedwiththepainmanagementpath , basedonthe conventionaltreatmentandnursingcare.Thedegreeofpainscore , theinterferencedegreeof sleep , adverseeffectsofthetwogroupsandtheoverallsatisfactionofpatientswerecomparedat day5andday10aftertreatment.Results Therewasnostatisticallydifferentbetweenthetwo groupsonthedegreeofpainandtheinterferencedegreeofpatients'sleepbeforetreatment.At day5andday10aftertreatment , thedifferenceofthetwogroupsonthedegreeofpain , the interferencedegreeonsleep , theoccurrenceofconstipationandtheoverallsatisfactionofpatients werestatisticallysignificant ( P <0.05 ) .Conclusion Theapplicationofthepainmanagementfor thepatientswithpostherpeticneuralgia , canrelievethepain , improvesleepqualityandthe overallsatisfaction , theoccurrenceofadverseeffectsalsocanbereduced.
