Abstract: [Abstract] Objective〖HTSS〗〓To study the changes of liver function indices at initial phase and post treatment in infantile cholestatic hepatopathy(ICH) patients, and then to analyze the prognostic value of liver function indices to ICH.
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Methods〖HTSS〗〓The conditions of 86 infants with ICH were reviewed from pediatric department in the Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University. Serum liver function parameters were analyzed retrospectively to evaluate the diagnostic and prognostic significance of ICH.
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Results〖HTSS〗〓Cytomegalovirus hepatitis and biliary atresia are the most main causes of ICH. The serum alanine aminotransferase levels of human cytomegalovirus hepatitis group and biliary atresia group at initial phase show no significant difference, while the serum γglutamyl transferase(γGGT) and total bilea cids(TBA) levels of these groups are statistically significant from the other. As to biliary atresia patients, serum total bilirubin affects TBA significantly.
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Conclusion〖HTSS〗〓It is of great significance in serum liver function evaluation, especially serum γGGT and TBA levels in the diagnosis and the prognosis of patients with ICH.
