Abstract: [Abstract] Objective〖HTSS〗〓To study the role of Csu cluster in the biofilm formation of the multidrug resistant Acinetobacter baumannii by genomics. 〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Methods〖HTSS〗〓The bacteria were selected from the clinical laboratory of our hospital. The rapidly growth period and biofilm stage were obtained. The mRNA of the two different stages were extracted and sequenced. Compared the gene sequence with the public database, we found the differences in gene expression. 〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Results〖HTSS〗〓There were significant differences in the expression of genes between the two strains in the rapid growth phase and biofilm stage of the same strain. In the biofilm state, the expression of 106 genes was upregulated in the cells with rapid growth phase, in which the expression of CsuA/B/C/D gene cluster was significantly increased, and the expression of 92 genes was down regulated. 〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Conclusion〖HTSS〗〓The Csu cluster played an important role in biofilm formation and maintenance. In the formation of biofilm, the initial adhesion of the cells required significant expression of the Csu A/B/C/D. The Csu cluster mediated the biosynthesis of pili and the secretion of extracellular matrix, which were necessary for the early stages of the biofilm formation.
