Abstract: [Abstract] Objective〖HTSS〗To investigate the diagnostic value of high frequency ultrasound in carpal tunnel syndrome and cubital tunnel syndrome of upper limb entrapment peripheral neuropathy.
〖WTHZ〗Methods〖HTSS〗Sixty-four patients with upper limb entrapment peripheral neuropathy and 32 healthy volunteers were selected. The median nerve and ulnar nerve were scanned by high frequency ultrasound. The echo changes of the nerve were observed and the diameter and cross-sectional area of the nerve at the thickest entrapment were measured.
〖WTHZ〗Results〖HTSS〗Compared with the control group, the left and right diameter and cross-sectional area of the median nerve at the carpal canal in the median nerve group increased significantly(P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the left and right longitude and cross-sectional area of the ulnar nerve in the cubital canal of the ulnar nerve group increased significantly(P<0.05).
〖WTHZ〗Conclusion〖HTSS〗High-frequency ultrasound can clearly show the course of upper limb nerve, diagnose the lesion location, and measure the entrapment value, which has high diagnostic value.
