Abstract: Objective To investigate the risk factors of postoperative hospital infection of gallstone patients.Methods The study enrolled 193 cases of gallstone patients who underwent operation in hospital and the patients fell into two groups according to hospital infection:83 cases of postoperative hospital infection and 110 cases of postoperative non hospital infected at the same time as control.The gender,age,smoking,drinking and operation condition were compared between two groups.Results Compared with non hospital infected group,the age above 60 years old,BMI over 25.0,drinking,smoking,the length of incision ≥ 15 cm,operation time over 2 h, hospital stay over 10 days,blood lose over 200 mL,over 3 kinds of antibiotics being administrated and bilirubin > 17.1 μmol/L were highly closed with postoperative infection.Conclusion Risk factors of gallstone postoperative hospital infection should be prevented and controlled and combined with measures of hospital infection management to reduce the incidence of gallstone postoperative infection.
