Abstract: ［Abstract］  Objective〖HTSS〗〓To investigate the application and shortterm efficacy of laparoscopic comeplete mesocolic excision(CME) with a medicaltolateral approach for right colonic cancer.
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Methods〖HTSS〗〓Clinical data of 47 cases of right colon cancer were analyzed retrospectively. Twenty cases in observation group underwent laparoscopic CME and 27 patients in control group received the traditional open surgery. Demography, surgical procedure, operation indicators and shortterm outcomes were compared in two groups.
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Results〖HTSS〗〓All patients have undergone operations successfully. The operative time in CME group was longer than that in the control group, the number of harvested lymph node in CME and control group respectively,intraoperative blood loss, and the postoperative hospital stay in CME and control group respectively, which both were significantly different(P＜0.05), whereas the incidence of postoperative complications in two group were not significantly different(P＞0.05).
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Conclusion〖HTSS〗〓Laparoscopic CME with a medicaltolateral approach for right colonic cancer is safe and feasible，and associated with better shortterm outcomes when compared with open surgery.
