Abstract ] Objective Toinvestigatetheefficacy and safety ofidebenone on chronic
schizophreniapatientswithcognitivedysfunction.Methods Onehundredandfourcasesofmale
chronichospitalschizophreniawererandomlydividedintostudygroup ( n =52 ) andcontrolgroup
(
n =52 ) for12weeks.Studygroupwastreatedwithantipsychoticsandidebenone , andcontrol
groupwastreatedwithantipsychoticsandplacebo.Beforeand2 , 4 , 8 , 12weeksaftertreatment ,
repeatablebatteryforneuropsychologicalstatus ( RBANS ) wasusedtoevaluatethecognitive
function , andpositiveandnegativesyndromescale ( PANSS ) andtreatmentemergentsymptom
scale ( TESS ) wereusedtoevaluatetheclinicalefficacyandsideeffectsrespectively.Results
Patientsinthestudygroupweremoreeffectiveinthecontrolofthedisease ( P <0.05 ) .After
treatmentRBANSscoresinthe2groupsofpatientsweregraduallyincreased , PANSSscores
weredecreasedgradually.ThedifferencesofRBANSscoreandPANSSscoreofthe2groupshave
statisticalsignificanceinthegroups , inthetimepoint , intheinteractionofgroupandthepoint
(
P <0.05 ) .Therewasnosignificantdifferenceinadversereactionratesbetweenthe2groups
(
P >0.05 ) .Conclusion Idebenoneoncognitioninpatientswithchronicmentaldisordersissafe
andeffective , andcanbeusedinclinic.
