Abstract: Objective To observe the effect of low-temperature plasma cutter combined with pidotimod for pediatric laryngeal papilloma.Methods Twenty-one cases(69 times)of pediatric laryngeal papilloma who had complete follow-up medical records were retrospectively analyzed. According to the treatment method,the patients were divided into CO 2 laser microsurgery combined with pidotimod(group A,n = 34)and low-temperature plasma cutter combined with pidotimod group (group B,n = 35 ).The tumor recurrence and the time to recurrence were compared after treatment between two groups.Results There was no crossing in relapse curve between two groups,which proved comparable.The recurrence rate of group A was significantly higher than that of group B (P <0.05),the tumor recurrence time of group A was significantly shorter than that of group B(P < 0.01).Conclusion Low-temperature plasma cutter combined with pidotimod for pediatric laryngeal papilloma can effectively extend tumor recurrence time and acquire good treatment effect and it is worth promotion in clinical application.
