Evaluation of the effects of 3.0T MRI combined with diffusion weighted imaging on the adjacent tissues in the early postoperative period of highintensity focused ultrasound in uterine leiomyoma#br#

Abstract: [Abstract]〓Objective〖HTSS〗〓To evaluate the effects of 3.0T magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) combined with diffusion weighted imaging(DWI) on the adjacent tissues in the early postoperative period of highintensity focused ultrasound(HIFU) in uterine leiomyoma.
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Methods〖HTSS〗〓Fortythree patients with hysteromyoma were selected and underwent MRI imaging at 1 d before and after HIFU treatment. We observed the tissue around the uterus(abdominal wall, pubic symphysis, sacrum, bladder and rectum) and MRI signal changes in T1WI, T2WI pressure grease, conventional enhancement scanning, DWI imaging and apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC) on the determination of the value of the signal, and to evaluate the effect of HIFU on adjacent uterine tissue.
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Results〖HTSS〗〓The signal value of T2WI, pressure and lipid in HIFU after uterine fibroids was higher in the symphysis pubis and in the abdominal wall injury group than in the preoperative group. The signal value of sacral injury group was lower than that before operation(P<005). The value of T1WI and enhanced scan in the combined injury group and sacral injury group was lower than that before operation(P<005). By using b=500 s/mm2 and b=1 500 s/mm2, the ADC value of was higher in the symphysis fracture group than in the preoperative group(P<005).
〖HTH〗〖WTHZ〗Conclusion〖HTSS〗〓3.0T MRI and DWI can show abnormal signal of surrounding tissue after HIFU treatment of uterine fibroids, evaluate effectively the influence of HIFU treatment  on the adjacent tissue, and guide clinical reduction, avoid complications.
